With over 9,000 hotels in more than 80 countries and regions, Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is one of the most outstanding franchisers of hotel brands in the world.

Located in Baise City of Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Baise Wyndham Resort is the best hotel in the local.

With 301 deluxe rooms, the Hotel went into operation in 2020, boasting the garden architecture featuring Chinese style.

As an experienced custom lighting manufacturer, we were selected to provide the hospitality lighting for the public areas and the guestrooms of this hotel in 2019, covering custom chandeliers, pendant lights, table lamps, floor lamps, wall lights and mirror lights.

In this article, I’m going to give you a brief introduction to this luxury hotel project－Baise Wyndham Resort.

We offered different kinds of custom lighting to different locations of the hotel, but kept the style of the custom lighting fixtures well matched that of the hotel.

Custom lighting for hotel reception

Reception plays an important part in a hotel. When customers first arrive at the hotel, they need to check-in; when they leave, they check out. All these procedures are done at the reception desk.

Therefore, the lighting fixtures there should impress customers and make them feel at home.

In the Baise Wyndham Resort, seeded acrylic pendant lights were used in the reception for ambient lighting, creating an atmosphere of coziness and romance.

Well-designed custom table lamps with Chinese style were placed on the reception desk, functioning as task lighting.

Custom Lighting for hallway and banquet hall

The lighting fixtures in the hallway and the banquet hall also play a critical part in the entire lighting design of Baise Wyndham Resort.

For the custom chandeliers in these places, we took aesthetics was just as important as structural safety, so the hotel lighting there as a visual feast but with practical capability at the same time.

During the design procedure where we customized that 200-square-meter chandelier, we kept constant communication with the hotel architect and lighting designers, including installation conditions of the ceiling and its bearing, and the proper installation structure to ensure its safety from start to the end.

To ensure that our custom lighting fixtures were safely made according to their design, we arranged a series of quality control for them as the following:

1. Before commencing the custom chandeliers production, we provided designers and the hotel engineering teams with finished samples as a way of confirming the lighting structure compliance to the original design.

2. During production, our staff worked to guarantee that each hole drilling was as perfect as the production shop drawings required, realizing the lighting design and shape as the designer wanted and ensuring that the installation procedure was totally safe.

3. Besides, we had a strict standard when it comes to package arrangement. Our package team used customized styrofoam to protect all the glass accessories, and then put them in wooden boxes as extra protection. In this way, there were no movements or shaking inside the boxes, making sure that the fragile lighting fixtures were well-protected during transportation.

Custom lighting for hotel restaurant:

Custom chandeliers are widely used in a hotel’s dining room, as they are the manifestation of luxury.

Therefore, in Baise Wyndham Resort’s dining hall, over 300 wave-shape clear acrylic decorations constituted the custom chandelier in the reception hall.

In the private rooms of the restaurant, there was one custom glass pedant light of 2 meters in diameter hung right above each large round table.

Custom lighting for the lounge area:

When customers wait for check-in or check-out, they sit on the couch in the lounge. Therefore, the hotel lobby lighting should create a cozy atmosphere with soft light, ensuring customers feel relaxed.

To this end, we used table lamps and wall lights with Chinese style in the lounge area as ambient lighting.

Custom Lighting for hotel guestroom:

A guestroom is like a private space for customers to do whatever they want. They relax and work in their rooms.

Given that situation, the hotel room lighting should meet various needs of customers.

So in each guestroom, two simple fabric wall lights were placed on the besides, with the floor lamp of the same style beside the sofa. It’s the efforts we made to satisfy the customers’ need of reading and relaxing at the same time.

As it’s a resort hotel, desks were way too formal. We put a round table instead, so it seemed more casual. And a desk lamp was placed on the table as ambient lighting.

Custom lighting for the bathroom:

For the bathroom, we customized the required pendant lights and mirror lights. All these custom lighting fixtures were strictly made according to IP44 standard, being applied to the damp locations to ensure safety.
